A-Rod Makes Deal Near Sheik's Unit
Yankee star Alex Rodriguez has gone to contract on selling his Trump Park Avenue apartment, listed most recently at $10 million. At the same time, A-Rod's neighbor, Sheik Abdul Aziz al-Thani of Qatar, cut the asking price on his three-bedroom apartment in the same building from $14 million to $10 million.
A-Rod and his ex-wife, Cynthia, originally asked $14 million for the apartment last year.Al-Thani bought the apartment in 2005 for $6.1 million. The unit, on the fourth floor with city views, has 11-foot coffered ceilings and a master-bedroom suite with his-and-hers bathrooms plus such common amenities as maid service, a valet, a health club and private storage.

Dog lover Gary David Goldberg, the Emmy-winning writer and creator of iconic TV shows such as "Family Ties" and "Spin City," has put his Brentwood home on the market at just under $20 million.
Two-time Emmy winner, Goldberg, 64, was the executive producer of 145 episodes of "Spin City" and 175 episodes of "Family Ties." He produced, directed and wrote the screenplay for the 2005 movie "Must Love Dogs."
