Warner Leisure Hotels Plans $12M Refurbishing at 13 Properties in England and Wales

(HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, ENGLAND) -- Warner Leisure Hotels is readying its boutique-size properties in England and Wales for an international rebound in traffic from tourists and other travelers.

The England-based firm plans to spend GBP5 million ($7.3 million US) over the next two years in what it calls "a massive re-design of its Historic and Signature rooms across its property portfolio."

Spearheaded by top UK interior designers Sophie Robinson and Pauline McCormic, "2009 will see  GBP2 ($2.93 million US)  spent towards room redesign creating a new standard of luxury at Warner," according to the hotel company.

Nidd Hall Hotel, nestled by Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales, is seeing one of the largest investments out of all the Warner Leisure Hotel properties for 2009. GBP1 million  ($1.46 million US) will be invested towards 51 room refurbishments as well as a full re-design of the on-site Rawson Restaurant.

Warner has also upgraded its dining options for guests at Thoresby Hall which features Italian dining.  Fenocchi's, located in the original wine cellars of the hotel, offers authentic Italian fare from the Tuscan mountains.

Guests also have a choice of three restaurants, including The Pierrepont, the main restaurant featuring a glass roof and stone walls, and The Blue Room, specializing in modern British cuisine.
