(BEVERLY HILLS, CA) -- If this is a recession with a capital R, nobody has told Sonny Astani yet.

The Beverly Hills, CA developer of luxury condominiums for the past 25 years is betting his newest project, the $300 million, 30-story twin tower, 100,000-square-foot Concerto in Downtown Los Angeles, will trigger sales when the 271 condos and the 71 loft units are placed on the market, beginning in June.

The lofts, located in a mid-rise 70-foot tall building, are priced from $350,000.  Penthouse suites in the 335-foot tall towers will go for $3.5 million.  Loft sales begin in June; condos in the fall.

"I've developed many properties across Los Angeles, all of which have one thing in common - they embrace great design whether you are considering a studio or one of the penthouses," says Astani, chairman of Astani Enterprises, Inc. "With Concerto condominiums in downtown Los Angeles we have achieved this on a grand scale in a truly extraordinary location."

Concerto was designed by Douglas Hanson of the award-winning architectural firm, DeStefano  Partners, Ltd.,

Hanson says Concerto's signature features include 10' 5" ceilings, full-length exterior glass walls and innovative structural engineering to create transparency and unobstructed views.

"Sonny had a vision with Concerto to create a 'community' of buildings that would look beautiful while also making the people living inside them feel good," says  Hanson. "Details like the fresh air system allow the building to literally live and breathe along with the people in it."

Concerto is located 9th and Figueroa Streets in Downtown Los Angeles.
